Student Host Audrey Norton chats with recent tech and emerging media communication grad Victoria Martin (’24) on how she stumbled upon Vanguard University, a school she hadn’t thought about attending until she had goosebumps upon first stepping foot on campus. She explains how VU opened up opportunities and relationships with both professors and fellow students alike as well as a strong professional network she never imagined possible. She also joined VU’s only Christian sorority Sigma Alpha Omega to explore new things. She first served as its treasurer, then vice president, and finally president during her senior year. She is currently an event planner at Sunshine Events , a position she acquired through a fellow sorority member during the summer before her junior year. She was also the inspiration, along with two of her classmates, for the development of The Commtastic Podcast.
